Tóm tắt
Objectives: To investigate serum resistin and visfatin levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Subjects and methods: 391 subjects included 297 T2D patients and 134 nondiabetic people used as control. Serum resistin and visfatin levels were measured by EnzymeLinked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA). Results: The concentrations of serum resistin and visfatin in patients with T2DM were significantly higher than those in non-diabetic people (p < 0.001). Serum insulin levels and HOMA-IR in diabetes groups were significantly higher than those in non-diabetic people. Conclusion: Serum resistin and visfatin levels were associated with type 2 diabetes patients and it may play important roles in pathophysiological mechanism of T2DM.
* Keywords: Resistin; Visfatin; Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
